Things I’m Loving this Week

Oh my goodness! I can’t believe the first half of January 2020 has already passed and I haven’t published a post yet. While there seems to be not much activity going on here at TheFrugalistaMOM, it was actually the opposite.

For the past few days, I’ve been busy doing “behind the scenes” work on the blog. That includes going through unfinished posts, updating categories, cleaning the inbox, sorting published posts, filling up this year’s content calendar and other “geeky” stuff. Thank God, I don’t have to learn coding! Not that I’m thinking about it because the answer is a big N-O! (I just know my limits.)

Speaking of updates, I am reviving the Friday Favorites. It is a weekly post that contains products I’m loving that week as well as deals I can’t help but share. I’m sure you wouldn’t to miss it so make sure to subscribe to the TFM weekly newsletter.

Without further intro, here are the things I’m loving this week. Take note, this post contains affiliate links.

Banana Souffle Moisture Cream by GlowRecipe

I received a jar last December as part of my Influenster review box. Yes, I got it for free (full disclosure). Anyway, it came just in time because I recently finished my day moisturizer and has been looking for a new one to try.

This product had my heart at first try. I fact, I’ve been raving about it on social media.

It’s winter and certain parts of my face (side of the nose, cheeks and chin) tend to be dry and peeling. I love that this lightweight cream helped with my issues such as dryness and redness. Best part, I didn’t breakout! Of course, it’s not only effective, it is also free of nut oils, gluten, sulfates, silicone, phthalates and parabens. Vegan and cruelty free too.

Want to give it a try? Here’s a $15 off discount on your first purchase of $50 or more.

Box of Style by Rachel Zoe Winter Select Box

I just got my first box and I couldn’t be more excited! They were not joking when they said “Over $400 of style for just $99.” If you are like me who doesn’t have much personal time to go to the mall, this box is a huge help. I love that the pieces I received are actually basics which I can mix and match with what I already have.

The Winter Select Box contains a Cleobella Capelet, an Eddie Borgo Rose Gold Watch, Rachel Zoe X LORAC Hollywood Glamour Winter Palette, B-Low The Belt Camille Wrap Belt and a choice of either House of Harlow Earrings or Ettika Layered Necklace. For a limited time, you can also get a Free Jules Kae Tote Bag ($150 value) and save $25 OFF your first box by using the code WINTER25 .

Mary’s Gone Crackers Real Thin Crackers

Actually, we first tasted it last Fall and it just became a staple in our home. While these are not as thin as soda crackers (it is a bit thicker), I like that it doesn’t crumble and holds thick dips really well. Great for snacks and appetizers. Plus, it is free of the top 8 allergens, gluten free and organic.

I was able to see it in some local grocery stories but I prefer to get it online via Iherb. If you haven’t shopped at Iherb.com yet, you can use this code BHM7615 to get 10% OFF your first order.

Connecting the Pots Cookbook

This is the first cookbook by my dear online Friend Malou Perez-Nievera. I love how she shared her adventures starting from the Philippines where she was born to her current home here in the United States. Of course, those memories will not be complete without her treasure Filipino family recipes.

All the recipes in the book are easy to make and the ingredients are readily available. Many are gluten free and can be made allergy friendly but using substitutes. I’ve tried the longanisa (sausage) recipes and my family can’t get enough of it!

Hugs,
