As a mom, one of the biggest challenges I have to face (and can’t get away from) is taking care of a sick child.
When my children were younger for instance, dealing with something as simple as a stuffy nose can be a complicated and dreadful experience for both me and my child. Just recently, my teenager found the squeeze “bulb” in the bathroom and in an instant she started talking about how traumatic that contraption was. “Do they make something better than this?”, she asked.
Then out of the blue, I received a message from Moms Meet to review the Neilmed Naspira.
What is Neilmed Naspira?
- Well, Neilmed Naspira is the world’s most uniquely designed Aspirator system that safely and and effectively suctions baby’s and toddler’s stuffy, runny or congested noses.
- It has a 2-1 design which can be used as a bulb aspirator or nasal-oral suction device, where parents can use suction force generated by the mouth to alleviate nasal congestion in babies or small children.
- The high grade, all silicone design can be pulled apart for easy cleaning and sterilization.
- It includes 7 in-line disposable filters to prevent mucus from inadvertently entering the tubing and reaching the user’s mouth.
While my youngest is now seven and is already an expert on getting something off his nose, I decided to step up and do the review. I really want to know if there something better has come up after all these years.
To be able to do this review properly, I have to ask the help of several mom friends who have children under the age of three. That part was the easy one. It was later when I realized I actually have to find a baby or toddler with a stuffy nose to test the naspira.
After some patience, three of the mom friends I asked for help, came back with their own feedback on NeilMed’s Naspira. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I was glad their children got sick because finally, they were able to use the product. (As of this writing, I’m more relieved and delighted to report that all of our child testers are now healthy and well.)
What my mom friends think of Neilmed Naspira?
“At first, the Naspira looks intimidating because of the design. After my third try though, I was able to effective remove all the mucus in my baby’s nose. The nasal-oral suction is a fast way of getting rid of the mucus.”
“I was a bit hesitant to use the nasal-oral suction device. After trying it on my daughter though, I realized that I can control the force needed to get the mucus out without harming my baby’s nose. She doesn’t put a fight when we use it to clean her nose.”
“I like that it is transparent and easy very to clean. I can’t even imagine what’s inside of those regular aspirators which I had for years.”
“I’ve used both the bulb and nasal-oral suction to help my baby. It is easy to use and Naspira’s soft silicone design gives me better control. This is my second baby and I wished I learned about this product before.”
I was able to see how one of my friends used Naspira to help her daughter’s runny nose. The child looked comfortable and she didn’t fight with her mom at all. This made me wished I’ve known about Neilmed Naspira when my children were younger. It could have made that stuffy nose battle a whole lot easier.
