Dairy Free Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie

Now that the holiday feasts and leftovers were long gone, it’s time to get back on track on healthy eating.

Well, I have to confess, my family and I haven’t been good the later part of 2015.

I still can’t believe or should I say accept that I actually gained 8 lbs. between Christmas and New Year’s Day. That’s the exact amount of weight I lost the whole year! To be more accurate, my current weight is the same during the time I’m about to give birth to both Child#1 and Child#2. The sad part is there’s not baby in the picture.

Okay, I’m one of those who are having weight loss in this year’s To Do List. Specifically, I want to lose 20 pounds this year. Is losing weight one of your goals too?

Since I don’t believe in drastic diets, I decided to do make small changes to reach my goal. After all, I still love good food.

With that in mind, I’m starting a new series here on the blog called Simple Healthy Changes. Every Monday, I will post tips and updates on my weight loss journey.

Would you like to lose some weight too? Let’s do it together! I bet it will be more fun and effective. What do you think?

To begin the Simple Healthy Changes Series, here’s my favorite recipe for Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie. I’ve used it as a meal substitute when I did detox a while back. Not only is it food allergy friendly, it is also free of added sugars.

The best part — it is healthy and delicious too!
