Series: I Am Thankful for the WOW Summit 2016 + Heroes Giveaway

This year, I’m so thankful that I was able to be a part of the Wow Summit which was sponsored by the MomsMeet community. Yes, I’ve written earlier why I was really excited to attend the event. After being there though, I have learned something much more important to me as person.

“I am Enough.”

That statement was so powerful that it stuck with

me even after the Wow Summit ended. As moms, we all wear so many hats — caregiver, tutor, cook, house manager, chauffeur, body guard, memory maker, income provider… The list can go on and on.

No matter how much we try and work hard, we tend to feel that we are always inadequate. That we are way far from being great mothers.

The Wow Summit has taught me that Being a Mom is already Enough to be considered great. We are the unsung heroes (heroines) in our children’s stories. Just like the Superheroes, each of us has our specific powers – The Organized, The Party Planner, The Baker, The Pinterest Queen, The Money Maker, The Volunteer, The Fashion Guru, The Health Coach etc.

Just like the Superheroes too, none of us is perfect. We have our own kryptonites too. It is up to us to embrace these limitations while letting our powers to shine.

Speaking of Superheroes, National Geographic Kids happened to be one of the sponsors of the Wow Summit. During the Bloggers’ Speed Dating event, I got a glimpse of the books Heroes and Heroines.

The Book of Heroes and The Book of Heroines contain stories of regular men and women who made a difference in our world. The publishers wanted to emphasize that heroes aren’t just fiction but can be from real life as well as long as:

  • You are courageous.
  • You do the right thing.
  • You are compassionate.
  • You are competent.
  • You are inspiring.
  • You never quit.
  • You always leap into action.

My children can’t get enough of these books that both now stayed on our coffee table. Each story was well written, precise and easy to understand. The pages are colorful and beautifully laid out. Perfect for story time or a few minutes of trivia reading.

Even the two younger boys who would rather play video games than read enjoy a 15 minute quiet time with the books. The best part is that they feel confident that they’ve learned something new that most of their friends don’t know about.

If you are looking for gift ideas this holiday season, these books should be in your list.

Now for the best part, one lucky US based TFM Friend will get to win the same set I got to review. Yes, the winner will get both The Book of Heroes Tales of History’s Most Daring Dudes and The Book of Heroines Tales of History’s Gutsiest Gals.

Just do the steps below to get free entries.

Hurry the giveaway ends on Nov. 27, 2016 11:59 pm EST.
