Vitamin C, E and Feluric Acid for Better Skin

A few days ago, I wrote about how I’m getting really curious about beauty products particularly that of skin care. So after trying the Hyaluronic Face Serum, I decided to try another face serum from CSCS which they generosity provided for this review.

This new serum 20% Ferulic Acid with Vitamin C + E Serum contains 20% Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid. For years, I have seen those two mentioned vitamins being added to skin care products. Vitamin C is said to be a big help in preventing fine lines and wrinkles, reduce inflammation and boost skin defense against UV  exposure. Also, it aids in reducing brown spots. Vitamin E on the other hand, is an antioxidant which protects the body against free radicals. These free radicals are the ones that cause premature wrinkles, lines and age spots.

However, it was only recently that I found a product that combines Vitamin C and E in their product. After some reading, I learned that these two ingredients along with Ferulic Acid, a potent plant derived antioxidant produces the best results.

Since all CSCS products don’t contain harmful chemicals like parabens, sulfates and phthalates, I decided to give this one a try.

This 20% Ferulic Acid with Vitamin C + E Serum is light and has no sticky after feel. It has a mild lemony scent that makes it refreshing. Though I needed to put on extra moisturizer after applying it, this serum was easily absorbed by the skin. No waiting time to put the next product.

After two weeks of using it, I did notice that my skin is smoother and my pores seem to appear smaller every morning. Also, my face seem to peel more often revealing a new layer of healthier skin. Apart from those little changes, I haven’t seen anything significant particularly on my brown spots (again!).

But then again, it’s just two weeks and I have only used about 1/4 of the 1 oz bottle. Let’s see how it goes.

Have you used any face serums? What’s your favorite?
