My Honest Review of Himalaya Botanique Complete Care Toothpaste

Almost six years ago, after I found out that my children have multiple food allergies, I started to pay very close attention to the toiletries we use. For tooth paste of instance, I don’t just check if it contains harmful toxic ingredients, I also make sure that it doesn’t contain any substance that my kids are allergic too.

Am I being over protectively paranoid? Not so. You see, unlike food that is closely regulated by the government, bath and beauty products are not. In fact, it is okay not to properly disclose all the ingredients used, even if one personally calls the company’s customer service.

Oh, don’t even start asking me how many companies I called and had that “secret proprietary blend” response.

So, when the people at Moms Meet asked me to review Himalaya Boutique Complete Care Toothpastes, I got really excited. At the back of my mind, here’s my chance to actually ask a company specific questions that are important to parents like me who manage certain allergies or are concerned about the healthier product choices for our families.

What makes Himalaya Boutique Toothpaste better than most leading brands?

  • It uses a unique blend of natural ingredients like:

Neem leaves, an Ayurvedic herb which is highly effective in the maintenance of healthy teeth and gums.

Pomegranate – an astringent fruit extract that helps support healthy looking gums but tightening the tissues.

Triphala – is a traditional detox formula in ancient Ayurveda.

Xylitol – a tooth friendly sweetener that has been clinically proven to support good oral hygiene.

  • It is free of carrageenan, sodium lauryl sulphate, flouride and allergens like gluten, dairy, egg, soy, nut oils and soy.

  • It uses enzymes from papaya and pineapple (papain and bromelain) to help remove surface stains.

After our family (yes even the 7 years old), used Himalaya Botanique Complete Care Toothpastes for about a mouth, I’ve noticed that our teeth looks about 2 shades whiter. Also, the tooth paste gives a refreshing feeling without the strong, almost burning sensation found in leading brands. It is not bitter and doesn’t leave any after taste.

We’ve tried several brands of organic toothpastes over the years, one big difference that stood out is that Himalaya bubbles up nicely. Because of this property, a little goes a long way. (Something I really liked because a tube can last longer.)

If you are looking for a better brand of toothpaste, I suggest you give Himalaya Botanique a try. It does a great job cleaning the teeth and gums without any harsh side effects or harmful ingredients.

6 Thumbs up from us.
