Guilt Free Gluten Free Snacking from Lundberg Family Farms

Guilt free, gluten free and allergy friendly snacking made easy with Lundberg Family Farms Organic Grounded snacks.

(I received these products for free from Moms Meet to try and post my honest opinions. Since they are allergy friendly and gluten free and I feel like it is worth for you to try too, I agreed to write our experience. As always my loyalty will always be to you my TFMFriends and my goal share products that our family liked and enjoyed.)

As a mom of four active children, I know first hand the importance of snacks to fill the gap between meals. In fact I rely on those pick me ups to keep my kids with multiple food allergies well fed on busy days.

While there are plenty of options out there, I confess I tend to be really picky on choosing what to give them. One reason is quite obvious. Three out of the four have food restrictions. Between the three, the allergens we avoid are wheat/gluten, egg, soy, tree nuts, peanuts, sesame, shellfish and dairy (which Child#3 is still allergic to).

Next reason is that I try to give them treats that are as healthy as possible. Preferably made with just simple ingredients, no added colors or flavors and is not loaded with preservatives, high fructose corn syrup or ridiculous amounts of sugar or saturated fat.

Why as picky?

Well, as you know my children have to remove certain types of food from their diet. Along with those food are essential nutrients their growing bodies need. Since the need to replace those nutrients are vital, snacks don’t just have be tasty, it should be nutritious too.

A few weeks ago, I was introduced to Lundberg Family Farms Grounded Snacks Red Rice & Quinoa Tortilla Chips through the Moms Meet program. Instantly, the snack was a hit to both the kids and I.

What makes it special?

Unlike most tortilla chips which are made with corn, these by Lundberg Family Farms are made with brown rice, red rice and quinoa. These ingredients were all grown and grounded in their family owned and operated farms. The chips were also manufactured by them. This straight from the farm process ensures that the products are indeed organic and nonGMO.

Because the quality of the ingredients were a priority, the final product is also superior.

The kids love the texture and flavor of the tortilla chips. It is perfect even without dips. Child#3 can’t get enough of the Himalayan Pink Sea Salt and Cinnamon Sugar. While the rest of his siblings enjoy the French Onion, Aged White Cheddar and even the Ancho Chile.

I love that it is allergen friendly, gluten free, vegan and kosher. Not to mention again, delicious! For $3.49 a 5.5 oz bag, it is definitely one of the more affordable brands in its category.

(A special note to all those how are DAIRY Free, two varieties, Aged White Cheddar and French Onion DO contain milk. As of this writing, I’m not aware of their manufacturing facilities except that it is Kosher. I’ll definitely update this once I get the specific answers.)
