It’s going to be a really exciting weekend. For the first time, TheFrugalistaMom (oh, that’s me), will be part of Green Festival Expo’s official media list for its New York event scheduled on April 15-17 at the Jacob K Javits Convention Center.
If you’re not familiar with it. The Green Festival is the largest and longest running sustainability and green living event here in America. The New York expo, which is now on its fifth year has become an annual celebration of green living not just for New Yorkers but other local green communities as well.
For three days, attendees will be able to enjoy organic food samples, hands on demos, educational activities and learn from inspirational speakers. The expo features pavilions and green themed stages such as:
Grace Play Connect Family Fun Pavilion – with interactive games and activities for kids.
Sonic Yoga Pavilion – free yoga instruction and classes.
Green Festival Stage and Lifestyle Pavilion – filled with booths of green business entrepreneurs, community leaders and environmental experts.
The Green Festival Expo also teamed up with Humane Society of New York for the Green Festival Saves Lives Campaign. The attendees will also have the opportunity to save lives by adopting homeless dogs and cats onsite.
This will be my first time attending Green Festival and I’m really excited to be there. Did you know there will be over 200 exhibitors? From organic food to eco fashion, body care and wellness, home and garden to transportation and renewable energy, this is a green enthusiast’s paradise. The best part is that it is open to the public.
